I
have been drawing for as long as I can remember. In High School,
I sold a number of portraits in colored pencil. Out of High School,
I continued to sell portraits. I got married and had kids and a husband
to take care of which didn't leave much time for drawing. Fortunately,
my husband bought me a box of oils and I sold a few painting while the
kids were growing up. I am self taught and read a lot of books on
this subject. I wanted to try something different so I bought some
pastels but wasn't pleased with the results. I put them on top of
the fridge and it was about 5 years before I gave them another try.
As it turns out, after I tried them again I have been working with them
ever since. Now my kids are all grown up and I am starting to get
move commissions. My youngest son suggested drawing motorcycles for
people. It was a big hit!!! Now, some of my work is dedicated to
just motorcycles. Along with what I have always done, I think that
my work will speak for itself.
